Rooms at the Ferroch Guest House
The guest lounge in Ferroch is over a hundred years old and still reflects its history. The wood burning stove in the original fireplace adds character to this already atmospheric place.
Comfy sofas, lots of books, CDs, local information and a stunning view make this the favourite room of everyone who visits. On arrival you will be warmly welcomed into the guest lounge with an afternoon tray of tea / coffee.
All the bedrooms in Ferroch have been tastefully decorated, and given names such as Heather, Bracken and Loch, and reflect the natural colours of the landscape in their design.
Pine furniture, large en-suite shower rooms, cotton linen and duvets provide comfort while a courtesy tray of tea / coffee, radio alarm and magazines provide for your relaxation.
The garden at Ferroch
The Ferroch garden is new due to the fact that sheep having roamed around the area for nearly a hundred years have now been fenced out. Nature has done a far better job in the garden than we ever could so most of it remains natural. A delightful burn runs amongst ferns and mosses.
Small saplings of birch, rowan and pine are now beginning to sprout and the heather is doing nicely. It seems only fitting to be in a natural garden in the most natural of places. We have however succumbed to planting some roses as they do so well here and of course a herb garden for the cook.
Our one modern addition to the half acre plot is a midge machine that will keep your evenings almost midge free while you enjoy wonderful sunsets on seats around, perhaps catching a sighting of a golden eagle.
